The Distribution Development Manager role

A new opportunity has arisen for the right candidate, to work within our Operations sector as a Distribution Development Manager to cover our depots throughout the UK. Reporting to a Distribution Centre Manager and taking strategic direction from the Logistics and Development Director, you will take on the challenge of implementing new and continuous improvement programmes and become the operational point of reference for distribution within the business.

The successful Distribution Development Manager candidate will be required to:
- Embed auditable, continuous improvement programmes in distribution operations and to support the implementation of new technologies and new distribution models
- Provide account management support to the supplier services and customer distribution models

The Distribution Development Manager candidate must be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience of operational management in large retail-based distribution operations on a multi-site, multi-temperature basis
- Excellent evidence of project management of large-scale change programmes within an organisation
- Strong leadership skills - the ability to deliver a vision, and gain commitment to the delivery of that vision
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels
