Reporting to your manager, you will be accountable for the design and delivery of training and learning support to equip Learners with the skills, commitment and self-confidence necessary to conduct and succeed with their own intensive job search. A natural communicator, you will be required to support learners who have been long-term unemployed, had no choice in attendance and may have low self esteem and other social and economic difficulties.

The training will include all areas of the job search including applications, CVs, interviews and the return to work.

Candidates for this role should hold, or be working towards, a teaching or training qualification (TBLD, IPD, 7307/7407). You must have a knowledge and understanding of the needs and difficulties experienced by the long-term unemployed and the ability to design and deliver training surrounding this. Above all, the new Training Advisor will have the ability to encourage, motivate and engage with their commitment to the Aims and Purposes of the training and willingness to support both learners and colleagues.

You don’t necessarily have to meet all of the specifications above as self-motivation, enthusiasm, a charismatic approach to your work, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and a willingness to support your client base are the most important attributes for this post.
