| Job Ref Number: BM/COL/031109/02 Position: Behaviour Management Support Co-ordinator Location: Kerry, Ireland Temporary/Contract/Permanent: Permanent Salary: x20AC;50,096 - x20AC;59,569 Company Info: A Behaviour Management Support Co-ordinator is sought to provide for a consistent and effective approach to the process of Risk Management and Behaviour Management across a large private organisation. This organisation provides services for clients with a variety of illnesses and disability across a wide range of ages. The postholder will take responsibility for supporting staff members at all levels with the development and implementation of individualised behaviour support plans and risk assessments. Responsibilities: * To support and assist staff members with the implementation of Behaviour Support plans and the services Risk Identification and Management process across the various sections of the Service as and where the need arises, including those risks identified through individual "Personal Outcomes" plans. * To furnish written and verbal reports to the Management Team as required with respect to all relevant areas of Behaviour Support and Risk Management. * To liaise with the Risk Management Team where required and specified by the local Management Team. * To support and assist staff members with the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of behaviour support plans where the need arises and, where necessary, in conjunction with the recommendations of multidisciplinary team members or other clinicians. * To assist in the training of staff members in the development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans. * To participate in the membership of any teams or committees related to the implementation of Behaviour Management and Risk Management process, including clinical multidisciplinary teams where required. * To be familiar with all aspects of the health and safety requirements and to ensure the safety and welfare of service users and colleagues at all times. * To perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time, including the provision of staffing cover as and when the need arises. Requirements: * A recognized and relevant degree/diploma in the health service area (social care, psychology, nursing, social work etc). * Have experience working with people with challenging behaviour and intellectual disabilities. * Have successfully completed/undergoing Multi Element Behaviour Support Training. * Knowledge and experience of individualized risk assessment. |
