Demonstrate knowledge or skills in the majority of the following areas:
Technical skills in NMS technologies including knowledge of commercially available management protocols, products, standards and latest practice methodologies
Ability to architect, design and document network management solutions in accordance with the customer's requirements
Appreciation of Network Operations
Experience in development Interface requirements definition
Network Modelling and production of management information bases
Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Broad understanding of management aspects associated with:
Circuit-switched switched networks
Access and transmission networks including wireless
Fibre networks and broadband components
IP networks encompassing both voice and data services
Experience of applications and systems involved in
Network and resource management
Inventory management,
Network configuration management
Fault management
Performance management
Network security management
Solid foundation with equipments and technogies including
Ethernet (both wireline and wireless),
Transmission (notable ATM and SDH),
IP Routers and routing protocols
Call Servers notable SIP based,
Gateways (both access and trunk).
Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, SNMP, RPC, SIP, MPLS etc).
Ability to travel internationally

Experience:
Object modelling and software development including SysML or UML
Integration and Verification of NMS solutions

Desirable:
Project management
Communications Satcom
of managing test and acceptance programmes
with Enterprise Architect
with DOORS
Satellite network and radio resource management
