| Integration Design Lead-709340 Description
The role is responsible for supporting delivery of High Level and Technical Design, particularly High Level Design where involvement is driven by a risk based engagement model. It supports the Head of Architecture and Design’s accountabilities in defining and governing design activities across the UK business in line with divisional and enterprise standards and policies. Depending on project complexity, the Integration Designer will lead the work on the High Level Design or support outsourced vendor designers who will lead the work. The Integration Designer will also support production of Technical Design deliverables by outsourced vendor designers and/or internal resources (depending on the technology). The Integration Designer may be required to perform as Technical Lead on suitable projects. Specific Responsibilities - Leading production of HLD on projects, leading a virtual team of vendor and/or internal design resource
- Designing to requirements, architecture constraints and Capital One standards and best practices
- Providing consultation to vendor designers to aid in production of HLD
- Support Delivery Lead in implementation of project solution
- Support Solution Architect (where assigned) in production of architecture
- Support the technical lead in identification and management of technical risks
- Support design capability improvements including personal maintenance and development of subject matter expertise Qualifications

- - Previous work in “application integration” design/architecture. Alternatively, employment as a Lead Application Designer in a major enterprise with J2EE experience. - Broad knowledge of Software Engineering, IT development practices, methods and tools - Experience of modelling techniques and notations, especially UML - Strong and demonstrable skills in stakeholder management (influence), verbal and written communications (including workshop facilitation) and information systems engineering. - Confident meeting facilitator - Ability to make information based decisions (includes the ability to make decisions based upon little information and to deal effectively with ambiguity) - Experience of planning and performing software design activities for medium to large scale projects - Graduate calibre, or relevant professional qualifications, or other evidence of equivalent cognitive capability Preferred experience and skills:- - Experience of defining/designing Web Services - Data modelling experience - Ability to task manage a virtual design team including both internal and Vendor supplied team members - Experience of working in Financial Services and Banking Industries - Awareness of issue resolution for a technical incident situation - An understanding of planning management & basic project management skills - Presentati |
