| Unix Infrastructure Architect- Staines-GBP50,000 - Linux/Unix/Weblogic A top UK Sunday Times Best Company is looking for a Network Architect to join their Network team. The right person will be responsible for project delivery for the Network Infrastructure and development of new products. They are looking for a UNIX Infrastructure Architecture team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining system architecture. Skills: Subject matter experience Linux, LAMP Stack, Zend, caching technologies, web apps for example JBoss, Tomcat or WebLogic In depth demonstrable experience of 3rd/4th Line infrastructure support Virtual hosting/infrastructure, rapid deployment/scaling out using cloned machine images, and scalability of web applications and distributed storage. Integrating / leveraging cloud based infrastructure services (Amazon Web Services / EC2 desirable, but not essential) Experience in design, deploy, release management, and operation of resultant services -Continuous integration and deployment, monitoring and managing dynamic environments in which lots of change happens on a regular basis. Has come from a development background or has experience closely related to development, ideally but not essential knowledge of java and/or php development Able to work effectively in a team and across multi-function teams, including directing the work of others A good appreciation and understanding of Cloud Based Architectures essential - Responsibilities include: Escalation point to Operations department in terms of 4th line support and solutions delivery department on client deployment projects. In conjunction with Product Management and Service Design teams, develop innovative services for the portfolio. Determine technology standards and create supporting documentation for design, build, configuration, installation, monitoring, reaction and support. Working in unison with a non-technical Service Designer and possibly a wider project team, act as the technical design authority, leading the assessment of requirements with view to designing and implementing a well-defined managed services solution. Product lifecycle management, ensuring well maintained technology components and their lifecycle, investigates and evaluates future plans from vendors and assess impact of product changes on services and infrastructure. As technical lead for our new service offerings, supporting the business in assessing and coming up with solutions for bespoke client requirements and future strategic service requirements.
