| FTSE 250 Organisation is looking to recruit an IT Telecoms Avaya analyst as part of the Telecoms team, to provide 2nd and 3rd line service and support for a global user community. Main responsibilities will include: Installation and configuration of Avaya S8xx servers G450, G700 Gateways in a multi-site environment Coordinating PSTN voice service connections Performance and fault analysis of the corporate telecoms network Upkeep of system documentation Telecoms capacity analysis and planning Proactive management of corporate Telecoms Infrastructure Maintenance of Avaya systems Installation and commissioning of new telecoms circuits and office networks Provide expert support for escalated operational issues Liaise with 3rd party system maintainers Assist with office moves and reorganisations Skills required: Experience in a corporate IT environment A proven commitment to quality practices and a focus on the customer as the IT environment is service focused Good oral and written communication skills. Well organised, diligent and taking pride in the job. A team player Working knowledge LAN/WAN technology in an IP network Experience of implementing QoS and CoS in a global IP network would be an advantage A working knowledge of voice delivery over ISDN, DSL, T1/E1 and T3/E3 circuits Familiarity with structured cabling, X.21 serial circuits, ISDN2, and ISDN30 A working knowledge of Telephony using VoIP preferably in an Avaya/Cisco environment If you are interested in the job - please send me your up to date CV and call me!
