LOCATION: Surrey RH The role sits within the IT infrastructure group as Wintel server and application support analyst for the EMEA region. You will be part of the team responsible for Web technologies, Windows server, Windows based enterprise and departmental applications in the EMEA region. Additionally you will work globally with IT Department contacts to support infrastructure, applications, platforms, services and connectivity within the global enterprise. You will provide support and oversee day-to-day activities pertaining to web technology related activities, Windows server, windows based enterprise applications and in the EMEA region. You will have expert skills in Web based applications, IIS, load balancing, firewall troubleshooting
Provide 2nd tier and 3rd tier technical support for Web technologies, including internet and intranet applications.
Provide 2nd tier technical support for a Windows based servers, enterprise application (MS SQL 2005/2008, SharePoint, VMWare)
Perform analysis, system enhancements and administration tasks, and act as an internal consultant to provide direction on a variety of operational, procedural, and systems interface issues, your specialism will focused on web technologies
Administration management at domain, services, Group Policy level
Provide statistical reporting and analysis for KPI's
Wintel server configuration management
Exhibit solid analytical expertise, business judgment, and communications skills to review risks and alternatives, and to introduce recommendations to management
Security configuration and coordination The Requirements Experience implementing secure measures within hosted architectures (e.g. Windows OS hardening, Anti-Virus, host based IDS, and System Vulnerabilities).
Minimum Microsoft MCSE (or appropriate) certification is required.
4 years experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft Webservices, and Windows Group Policy
Demonstrated Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 administration skills
Ideally, demonstrable, proven experience in the following, other areas:
