Our client is looking to employ a Category Manager, to be part of their developing purchasing department. The role is an exciting opportunity to join a nationwide company. The successful candidate will: *Have end-to-end ownership for their category, defining strategy and market direction *Be responsible for the development and delivery of category marketing strategy and making propositions to take to market *Take responsibility for product management and all aspects of procurement *Have experience with driving improvements in process and strong leadership skills *You will have experience working with clients, suppliers and key stake holders . You will be able to demonstrate the below: *Procurement: Strong, proven purchasing experience. *Communication: being able to influence suppliers & clients. Understanding business needs and goals to develop strategy and gain buy-in. Communicate strategy to key clients and stakeholders *Analytical Skills *Commercial Acumen: Understanding business strategy and how purchasing relates to this. Being able to intertwine supplier needs & agreements into long term strategies. *Hands-On: Working independently toward the group goals. Taking initiative within role to develop creative ways to tackle problems
