| Editorial Team Leader London - GBP55,000+ A medium sized, independent Medical Communications agency is seeking to employ an Editorial Team Leader to lead 6/7 Medical Writers in the delivery of scientific solutions to a range of Pharmaceutical clients. You will be involved in ensuring that a scientific strategic philosophy and a highly professional standard of medical writing are paramount in everything this agency does. You will be responsible for training and mentoring 6/7 writers across all levels alongside developing existing clients and pitching for new business. Being a key member of the leadership team you will have responsibility for the following: - Maintenance of the key client/opinion leader/society relationship
- Contribute to the growth of the company and being involved in key decision making
- Promote the agencies culture and values at all times Day to day activities will involve: - Providing leadership and guidance to the medical writing team
- Review key materials to ensure on target, on strategy, on time and budget and of highest scientific quality and accuracy
- Providing scientific and medical support to staff members
- Working closely with the business development team and contribute to new business proposals
- Developing and broadening your range of therapeutic knowledge
- To write/oversee high quality scientific copy aimed at the appropriate level for target audiences from specialists to sales representatives and lay audiences
- To develop a range of writing styles appropriate for a variety of media, e.g. scientific manuscripts, abstracts, PowerPoint slides, meeting reports, newsletters, training materials, websites, etc. Requirements: - Life science degree
- Medical communications experience as a writer
- Strong scientific expertise
- Excellent people management skills
- Understanding of GPP
