Business Development Manager (Field Sales) - Freight / Logistic Sales Job in Cambridge (Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, UK)

As a leading supplier of specialised transportation, logistics and e-commerce services they have grown to become one of the largest express carrier and delivery companies in the world. Due to growth within their International Freight division they now have an immediate opening in East Anglia for an experienced Freight/Logistics Sales Professional.

As a field based Business Development Manager you will be territory focussed, targeting high spend accounts (GBP1 million+), dealing at senior levels, negotiating air and ocean freight contracts of various values. Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, you will develop both new and existing revenue streams for our client's full portfolio of solutions across a lucrative and large territory. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years field based freight or logistics sales experience. You will have first class communication and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to liaise at all levels within customers of varying size and contract value. You will be driven, new business minded, motivated by the rewards that successful sales executives receive and above all have the ability to influence set targets and deliver in a customer focussed environment.

The successful candidate can expect a base salary of 30k with an uncapped OTE of 45-50k available in the first year plus an excellent benefits package.
