VALIDATION ENGINEER DIESEL FUEL PUMPS GILLINGHAM, KENTWe are seeking an experienced Validation Engineer who will create, co-ordinate and maintain customer validation plans ensuring Diesel Fuel Pumps are at the right place/ right time as well as ensuring validation tests are completed to plan with optimum efficiency. Reporting directly to the Validation Manager for CR Pumps, the Validation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all lessons learnt/ technical concerns are captured and documented and professionally tracked through to a satisfactory timely resolution and will co-ordinate all validation activities that best evaluate product robustness to design and manufacturing process variation. You will also establish analytically product life design margin, using degradation models for key pump components. The position requires a methodical organised individual with attributes in planning, analytical techniques, documentation and communication skills. You will work effectively with other members of a cross-functional project team responsible for overall pump competitive success. To succeed as Validation Engineer you will ideally be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other relevant discipline with some experience in development engineering or similar area and must be able to understand and apply physics to the development process. You must be able to demonstrate that you are data driven and not just opinion driven and should be confident, self-directed and goal oriented, with strong team interaction skills that facilitate cross-functional involvement. Good communication skills are essential and you must be able to develop and present technical presentations to team members. DOE and statistical analysis knowledge would be a plus, although training can be provided if this is a gap. You must be willing to travel for training, work with customers and for problem resolution on projects as necessary.
