Senior Customer Insight Manager - UK

Reports to: VP Sales & Marketing
Location: North London, UK

My client is seeking an analytical and motivated candidate to serve as a Senior Customer Insight Manager The individual will work closely with country account managers and customers from the various different territories as well as company stakeholders.

These research initiatives must be translated into tangible and actionable recommendations for the Business Unit. Hands-on involvement on the implementation of such research recommendations may also be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

• Planing and recommending market insights initiatives that are aligned to the business objectives and plans.
• Managing both primary (quantitative and qualitative) and secondary research projects by working with market research and/or consulting agencies, internal stakeholders and partners.
• With integration in mind, collaborating closely with other internal research/intelligence-related teams (e.g. Competitive Intelligence and Market Intelligence) as well as Finance to identify trends, characteristics and issues.
• Analyzing different sources of data/information to provide recommendations in an integrated approach.
• Supporting country and regional agnostic teams with vital market research inputs for their quarterly and annual planning as well as business case development.
• Identifying and supplying data or insights to satisfy various teams' (e.g. country, marketing, product, etc) adhoc requests.
• Being accountable for ensuring research quality and appropriate methodologies being used.
• Playing an advisory and consulting role to give guidance to Business Unit.
• Driving insights into tangible recommendations and actions.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Business, Market Research, Statistics, or related subjects; Master's or Honors with research background will be advantageous.
• Excellent Knowledge of econometrics statistical modeling
• Excellent Knowledge of statistical software packages particularly SAS
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills- with advanced skills such as VBA (preferable)
• 2-3 years' experience in a market analysis/intelligence/research or related role, with a strong knowledge of telecommunication or ICT industry experience.
• Understanding or business exposure to Africa and/or India will be advantageous.
• Possess a good understanding of analytical tools, research techniques and methodologies.
• Exposure to hands-on data mining and analysis with statistical background will be advantageous.
• Able to think 'out of the box' with excellent analytical, problem solving and report presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, and under time pressure to meet deadlines.
• Position may be based in London, UK
