SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER – BALANCE OF PLANT POWER GENERATION WESTERN AUSTRALIAAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the major power generation company in the coastal Bunbury area of Western Australia. In this role you will perform a lead role in Engineering assignments encompassing project management, design services, conceptual technical proposals and cost estimates focussing in particular on Balance of Plant. This may involve performing risk based plant assessments and developing associated plant strategies as well as identifying specific plant projects and integrating these in to enterprise project management tools. You will also review and report on mechanical process, plant performance and reliability impacts. You will provide technical direction during plant overhauls and manage/implement statutory and plant compliance requirements relating to your area of expertise. You will be actively involved in the design, assessment and implementation of Mechanical Plant and associated systems. In addition you will assist with the development of logistics plans and strategy for routine plant inventory and strategic plant spares. There will also be a supervisory element to your role. To succeed as the Senior Mechanical Engineer – Balance of Plant you will be of degree level in Mechanical Engineering and ideally be of Chartered status. Experience/knowledge in the area of Balance of Plant is essential and any coal fired power station experience would be welcome.
