You must have a telecoms background and extremely strong communication skills. You will need a valid passport as you will have the opportunity to travel in and around Europe.
Avaya engineer Main Skills: * Excellent working knowledge Telecoms administering an Avaya Communication Manager 5.0 to 5.2.1 platform of 2000+ extensions, G700 and G450 gateways, ESSs and LSPs.
* Extensive experience Telecoms configuring VDN, vectors, trunk groups, ARS, stations, Modular Messaging and troubleshooting setups.
* Knowledge of IP network regions and telephony protocols
* A proven commitment to quality practices and a focus on the customer as the IT environment is service focused
* Good knowledge of COR, COS, tenanting and routing
* Good oral and written communication skills. Well organised, diligent and taking pride in the Telecoms job. A team player. Avaya engineer main responsibilities: * Convert existing standalone S8300 servers to LSPs, modify existing config to current standards and migrate to the main server.
* Perform Administration duties relevant to the Telephony service
* Implement international telephony configuration standards across all sites.
* Update LSPs with latest service packs, gateway and media module firmware.
* Installation and configuration of Avaya VoIP phones.
* Follow the process for the installation and productionisation of telecoms services on new sites
* Training of users on how to use VoIP phones.
* Leasing with 3rd party maintainers for escalated problem resolution.
