| System Administrator - London - Cutting Edge Technology GBP35K - GBP40,000 Systems Administrator working with cutting edge technologies and join a high performance team. This role will involve working in Innovation, Support, Installation, and Maintenance of environments from development to production. Main Responsibilities Include:
Build, Maintain and Administer Linux and network systems to ensure high degree of uptime for company resources
Monitor and troubleshoot issues with Linux services and application systems running in Java throughout global environment
Provide Tier 1-3 support for Linux and application related issues
Write and review UNIX shell scripts to administer server and correct problems with configuration files
Involvement on all areas of technology such as Datacenter management, Network, Storage, R&D Skill Set and Experience required: Minimum of 4 years experience as System Administrator (preferably with Linux, but would consider Solaris) with Apache, DNS/BIND, and LDAP
Good understanding of Java open source applications servers, including debugging, deployments and monitoring
Experienced in Unix (Linux) Administration scripting, preferably in Shell, Perl or Python
Knowledge of LAN switching and VLAN implementations
