| Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Doncaster: Up to GBP39k One of Yorkshire's leading Engineering Companies are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis for their site based in Doncaster, to work on some flagship projects for the company. As one of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineers within the Engineering Division, you, as Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of new or exising equipment, providing solutions to manufacturing problems. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be working with a fast paced project design environment in the Engineering department and will be working on several mechaincal design projects at any one time . The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should have the following experience:
Essential
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of working in a medium / heavy engineering industry.
- Understanding of machining and fabrication methods.
- Understand material selection.
- Proficient in the use of solid modeling design software.
- Familiar with the use of standard engineering measuring and test equipment.
- Familiar with surveying and other miscellaneous equipment related to the measuring, testing, installation and commissioning of new or modified plant or processes equipment.
- Computer literate and capable of using Microsoft Office packages and the internet. Desirable
- Degree educated or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the design of process line equipment and/or special purpose machinery.
- Proficient in the use of solid modeling design software ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
