Survey 90a - "Do you belong to a union or not?"

Interestingly, 82% said they were not part of a union which is a high proportion of nearly 3,000 people surveyed.

Survey 90b - "If not would you consider joining a union?"

56% of these non-union reps said that they would not even want to join a union.

Survey 90c - "Do you think that a union could help you avoid being made redundant?"

But, finally, 68% of people felt that being part of a union would not help them to keep their jobs. Maybe the benefit of being part of a union would be that they can help individuals to negotiate more favourable terms when they are actually being made redundant.
